I like the unfinished wood and it is comfy and pretty. I do not like the corner blocks on the top of the posts, they stick out and are sharp. I wish there was more clearance under the bed to store things. Note the glue is only for the corner blocks! There is not enough for all the dowels and it is certainly easier to not glue them! It seems strong enough for two heavy people!I purchased this bed for my mother who is in a residential assisted living facility. She is only 5' tall and with the mattress it is a comfortable height for her to sit on and get up from as well.Because the bed in our master, that we absolutely love, is no longer made, we decided to try this one for our guest room.The bed looks great and feels very sturdy so far, HOWEVER, assembly was way more complicated than it needed to be. It wasn’t *difficult*, but it was incredibly time consuming because there were so many small parts. I definitely think that they could have simplified things to make it an easier, shorter process.Otherwise, it’s a good, solid bed.
